Nature-based Therapy Trainings

At Nature Based Therapies Australia, our focus is on supporting therapists to confidently incorporate nature into their practice in relevant and creative ways that align with their therapeutic approach and enhances clinical outcomes. To this end, we believe that it is important that practitioners have a solid understanding of the theories of change underpinning therapeutic processes as well as developing personal insights through experiential learning.

Our training programs cover a range of nature-based activities and are grounded in evidence-based models such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MCBT) and body based interventions.

Whether it's incorporating mindfulness in nature, animal assisted therapies, creating outdoor experiential activities, nature as co-facilitator, or even bringing nature indoors - our courses provide you with the knowledge, practical tools and techniques so that you can confidently integrate nature-based interventions into your existing frameworks.

We understand that everyone learns differently, so we design our programs with this in mind. Formats vary from short webinar style presentations to multi-day, immersive educational experiences, covering a range of nature-based interventions, model specific frameworks and client presentations in both group and individual therapy settings.
